391: bench monday, take 4.

Today I took Little L down to the temple to take pictures for her upcoming baptism!  We had such a nice time, the light was gorgeous and we even saw a few brides...

I love that I remembered to take the Bench Monday photo of her, you can see the trim of her dress so perfectly.  It brings back memories for me of walking around the temple wearing my wedding dress.  Didn't you join Dazza and I for our bridals?  I was trying to remember...super hot summer morning at 6:30am?  Sweating and trying to look like I wasn't hot...
Anyways, I digress.

It's been a long day, and I am hoping to get to bed at a decent hour, so I'm off.  I'll call you tomorrow...

391: First Snow/Bench Monday

Okay so this is really tomorrow, but I know you'll forgive me. Here's what it looks like from my bedroom window.

390: reception.

This was taken in the cultural hall:



CAN YOU BELIEVE IT??  The bride's father, mother and brother spent 12 hours the day before the wedding draping the ceiling with white fabric (might have been those awesome long plastic table cloths that you can buy on the giant roll, I'm not sure, I didn't feel it...) and twinkle lights.  It was AMAZING!!  You can see a better view below:



I am exhausted, but it was an incredible experience and I loved it!  I'm so glad that I was able to share in K & G's special day.  :)

390: Anti-Picture

This man only wants to be on the other side of the photos. I can't blame him. Me too HY. Me too!

389: three in one day.

I felt like I was taking photos ALL DAY today!! I went to three different locations to shoot three different sessions...I think that deserves a prize!! Or at least a Snickers bar!!



This baby is just over 24 hours old!  Isn't he darling??  He belongs to my sweet niece and her hubby.  I ran down to the hospital today to take some shots before he was released.  I love the black and whites, it feels so much like a documentary...you can see more here.  The best part is that he reminds me SO MUCH of my Gigantor.  They have similar looks.  So great being part of a family!!!

I also shot another little man today.  When he was born, he was barely five pounds!  Can you believe it?? We did a few quick shots today for his announcement...isn't this idea adorable?? His mama and Grammy came up with it, and I'm so glad they trusted me with it.  So so cute.





To finish off my "day of photography" I met this wild group downtown to try to get ONE GOOD SHOT for their grandma. Apparently they do this every year, and it's a good thing too. These parents are TOTALLY prepared to do whatever it takes to get some smiles! I'm sure those two bigger kiddos thought the rest of us were crazy! :)

Today the Diaper Diva and I got together with this lovely couple to do some couples shots before their big day on Friday.
:)
They are an awesome pair and I feel so honored to be photographing their special day.  We had tons of fun...but I can't say I'm looking forward to all the editing...

387: Pumpkin Row

This year our garden produced 4 pumpkins. Four! I know. Just enough. This big huge one is not one of them. Uncle L the great brought us this beauty. So we put them out on the porch and ta da! We're ready for Halloween!
